- We lose the match so it's crap.

We let in six simple goals and shoot ourselves in the foot.

We need to score points now, since what it looks like is shit the same, says Brynäsbacken Simon Bertilsson to C More.

It was, to say the least, a swinging match in the already several times postponed classic meeting against Leksand.

The guests' points king Carter Camper made it 1-0 after only 4.25.

Carter averages one point per game, extended with Leksand just over a week ago and was a constant concern for Brynäs in this match.

However, it was not he but young defender Mattias Göransson who increased to 2-0 halfway into the first period.

Brynäs has had a hard time getting up and winning after such starts earlier in the season, but team captain Anton Rödin, who made his second match after a 14-match break, reduced in powerplay through a well-placed wrist shot with only 1.18 left of the first period.

His goal proved to be important mentally for Brynäs who equalized immediately after the first break.

Anton Rödin was involved here as well with a shot from the left long side that Nicklas Danielsson steered to 2-2 after only 46 seconds played.

Pulled off

The tempo then increased significantly in the second period, not least from Brynäs' side, but without Gävlelaget succeeding in creating the purposeful breathing space that was needed.

Brynäs' early 2-2 goals are followed by a quick reply from the team, but with only seconds left, Leksand forward Marek Hrivik took advantage of a quick turnaround and gave the visitors the lead (4-3) with a quick shot before the third period.

There, Leksand once again had the baton and pulled away with goals from Emil Heineman and Mirco Müller to 6-3 and looked halfway into third looking to be on their way to a comfortable victory.

Then it swung again.

Brynäs forward Linus Ölund reduced (6-4) with just under six minutes left to full time and shortly afterwards Anton Rödin became a two-goal shooter with his 6-5 goal, but Brynäs, who is still below the qualifying line, did not come any closer.

For Leksand, the victory means that they get even closer to a top 6 position.

The Dalalaget now only has one point up to six Frölunda and that with one match less played than the Gothenburg team.
