Björgen, who ended his national team career three years ago, and Korsgren controlled the race and after 50 km the other ladies were left to their own fate.

- It was fun and for a long time it was a transport distance and I felt very good when there were 40 km left and then Lina and I got a gap, says Björgen.

When they were alone, they waited for the men to start 20 minutes later, which would be of crucial importance to the ladies.

- Then we had to wait for the gentlemen and there I noticed that Lina was easier to follow and walk in the back compared to me.

It was a period where she was ahead by 12.13 seconds.

She had some gentlemen to ride with and I was left alone and then it became too tough, Björgen describes the decision in the race over 90 km.

The long distance took its toll.

"Arms were run out"

- The arms were finished the last mile, which was not so surprising but I am very happy with the second place.

It was a good debut, Björgen sums up the impressions.

She appreciated the tactical momentum that arose when the men caught up.

- It became a tactic when the men came but it was with a brutal speed they came with.

What was it like driving with Korsgren?

- It was amazing.

She is good and you can see that she has the speed characteristics.

You could especially see it when the gentlemen came in the race.

She was clearly stronger than me at the end and it was impressive to see but it was fun to try, says Björgen.

May we see you next year?

- We'll see.

I need a week to evaluate this race then we'll see.
