Esperance harden Zamalek by three in the African Champions League

Tunisia's Esperance made an important step towards reaching the elimination rounds in the African Champions League soccer championship, after it won a precious 3/1 victory over its Egyptian guest Zamalek today, Saturday, in the third round of group four matches in the group stage of the continental competition.

Esperance, who has four titles in the tournament, strengthened its position at the top, after raising its tally to seven points, while Zamalek ranked third with two points.

Esperance scored through its Ivorian player William Tojay in the 26th minute, but Ahmed Aboul Fattouh equalized for Zamalek in the 40th minute.

Zamalek did not congratulate his equalizer very much, after Esperance returned to advance again with the goal of carrying the signature of Muhammad Ali bin Ramadan in the 45th minute from a penalty kick, before the same player returned and added the third goal for the Tunisian team in the 53rd minute.

The suffering of Zamalek, who was forced to play with ten players after Abu Al-Fattouh was sent off in the 57th minute, for receiving the second warning, was doubled, while the Esperance players raced to squander the opportunities they had after they were dominated during the remainder of the match.
