Two Korean football stars, Son Heung-min, who
beat the
Premier League, and Koo Young-hoe, a former American professional football all-star, had their first meeting through joint marketing between the league and the club.
We quickly formed a consensus by talking about each other's dreams and reality.
[Son Heung-min/Tottenham striker: I never had an easy time as a child.
Now, I am enjoying my dreams while having fun in Tottenham.]
[Koo Young-hoe/Atlanta Kicker: When I was young, I always thought and believed that I would be a soccer player.]
Goo Young-hoe, who immigrated to the United States as a 6th grader in elementary school, entered the NFL in 2017, the first Korean to enter the NFL. After that, he became a dedicated kicker in Atlanta, confessing his drama-like growth period until he was selected as an All-Star last season.
[Koo Young-hoe/Atlanta Kicker: When I left Korea, I didn't know what the NFL was."
Looking back, I can't believe the process so far.] He also
revealed his fan spirit for Son Heung-min.
[Koo Young-hoe/Atlanta Kicker: I grew up as a fan of Manchester United while watching Park Ji-sung, but now I have become a fan of Tottenham because of Son Heung-min.]
Son Heung-min replied that he would like to see Goo Young-hoe's game at Tottenham Stadium where the NFL game was held in 2019.
