Al-Qubaisi told Emirates Today: “Their efforts were successful in reaching an agreement that satisfies all parties, and that they found great cooperation from the management of the Syrian club after they had signed a preliminary agreement at the beginning of last February, before matters reached the happy end with the signing of the final agreement. The Sports Court had upheld the decision of the FIFA Players' Status Committee in July 2019, in which it obligated Al Dhafra Club to pay the Syrian Al Wehda Club within 30 days from the date of notification an amount of $ 1.09 million, in addition to an annual interest of 5% on the aforementioned amount from 23 June 2017 until the effective date of payment.

Khribin had moved from the Syrian unit to Al Dhafra on loan in December 2015, and the latter bought his contract in March 2016 for a million dollars to be paid in installments until January 1, 2021, and the three parties (the two clubs and the player) agreed that if he moved to a new club Before the expiry of the payment deadline, Al Dhafra must pay to the unit in whose ranks the player grew up, 20% of the value of his transfer to another team.
