Finland had a dramatic qualifier.

In the last hill Mäki lay side by side with Johannes Hösflot Kläbo - but fell.

He dropped to sixth place in the heat and the team had to rely on time to get to the final.

- It was probably not far from that we just packed everything after the heat, There are small margins, we could have been outside the final, says Ristomatti Hakola to Yle.

They advanced to the final as the last nation and once there they won the silver medal.

- It's unbelieveble.

It has been an emotional roller coaster, says Mäki.

- This is a little surprise, says Hakola to SVT Sport.

Became a sprint match against the Russian Federation

In the final, it was close to a new case, when Mäki had contact with France's Richard Jouve, but this time things went better.

When Bolshunov created a gap on his last stretch, Hakola hung on to the back of Erik Valnes, who chased closest behind.

He sent Mäki out with Kläbo on the decisive stretch.

That Finn did not let go of the Finn until Kläbo made his winning move on the last hill.

- I thought I could hold Johannes' back to the last hill and I did, says Mäki.

In the race he was able to sprint down Gleb Retivykh and drive home the silver medal.

It was Finland's best place in a World Cup sprint relay ever.

How are you going to celebrate?

- With coffee and cake, says Hakola.
