Calle Halfvarsson has had a difficult season but on Saturday he is one of the skiers who run the skiathlon in the WC.

But the Swede himself hardly seems to believe that things will go well at the World Cup.

- It is an uncertainty that I live in before the race tomorrow and in the future towards future distances, he says to SVT Sport.

What is it like to come to a championship with an uncertainty?

- It's tough, it's not how you want to go into a championship.

You want a sense of security that things have gone well before, but the uncertainty that has been there this season is not fun to have with you.

"Not very high"

He also says that he lowered the demands on himself for the championship.

- Yes, I will want as much as I always want and when I go to the start tomorrow I do it with a belief that it might turn around.

But expectations are not particularly high now.

So you do not feel that it has turned?

- No, but we will see tomorrow if there is any tendency to do so.

"Do not have huge hopes"

Nor does SVT's expert Mathias Fredriksson believe that Halfvarsson will get a prominent position.

- No, it's not very promising to feel that way.

But that Calle has lowered expectations, I think that can even be positive.

Sometimes I think it locks up a bit because he wants so much and raises himself but then he shit in it if it is a heavier period.

But I do not have huge hopes for Calle, he says in Vinterstudion.
