Johanna Hagström took the last Swedish place in the women's sprint team in the WC.

When the qualifier was decided on Thursday morning, she showed that the national team management did the right thing that gave her the place.

The strong 22-year-old, who in Ulricehamn earlier this month took his best place so far in the world cup premiere and finished second, was the fastest of all skiers, 2.37 seconds ahead of the reigning World Cup gold medalist Maiken Caspersen Falla.

Sundling four

And overall it was a good Swedish morning.

Other blue-yellow placements were four (Jonna Sundling), fifth (Maja Dahlqvist) and eight (Linn Svahn).

- It feels good, says Maja Dahlqvist to SVT Sport.

What are your expectations now for the rest of the day?

- I want to be part of the fight for the victory.

SVT Sports expert Anders Blomquist was impressed by the Swedes' efforts.

- What an excellent qualifier the Swedish girls do!

We had high expectations, and the qualifier is, if possible, even better than we thought, he said.
