On April 24, 2020, it was clear that the former national team skier in length, Lisa Larsen managed to pinch a place in the Swedish national team in ski orienteering.

Today it was time for the hunt start in the World Cup in ski orienteering.

And it was double Swedish on the podium.

Larsen, who previously won Swedish Championship gold in the middle distance and Swedish Championship bronze in the long distance 2020, today took his first gold medal in the World Cup.

During the last quarter's ride, it was Larsen who was the strongest, and after an exciting fight against Kudre was able to take home the World Cup gold.

With the current pandemic, Larsen will celebrate the World Cup gold with his teammates at a distance.

- It feels damn good to win gold.

But the celebration will probably be via Teams.

We have different corona-adapted bubbles, she says to Orienteringsmagasinet.

However, she was not the only Swede on the podium, but Evelina Wickbom, who finished in sixth place in yesterday's sprint, ended up in third place.

She thus took bronze in today's hunt start.

Went up to an eighth place

Another who did well in today's hunt start was Rasmus Wickbom.

He went out as the 20th skier, and was one of those who climbed the most of all skiers when he went up to an eighth place.

- I got off to a good start and immediately noticed that I caught up with skiers and it is clear that it strengthened me, says Wickbom.
