Thirty-five years later, they're back.

The town of Les Sables d'Olonne will host the French surfing championships from 23 to 31 October 2021. The seaside resort of Vendée has not hosted this competition since 1986. This competition was nevertheless held in Vendée, in Brétignolles-sur -Sea, in 2013.

Three sites have been selected for these championships, announce the organizers.

Tanchet beach will be the main site of the championships with two spots: the Grande Plage de la Baie des Sables and Sauveterre.

Nine disciplines on the program

Nearly 500 competitors are expected in Vendée during the first week of the autumn holidays.

Almost all of the best French from the nine disciplines on the program (surf-shortboard, longboard, bodyboard, bodysurf, stand up paddle surfing, tandem surf, kneeboard, para surf & para surf adapted and skimboard), some of which are among the best in the world, will participate in this Sablaise edition.
