The whole golf world was of course shocked by the news yesterday that the golf's greatest of all time, Tiger Woods, crashed his car in California and sustained severe leg injuries.

One of those who both played with and knows Woods well is Swedish Henrik Stenson.

- Sad news of course, the most important thing is that he seems to be "okay" in the larger perspective, ie no life-threatening injuries, which you could easily imagine when you saw the car after the accident, Stenson says to SVT Sport

Of course, Stenson hopes that Woods recovers physically, but also that his career is not over.

- I hope that the injuries he sustained can heal quickly and that he can recover 100 percent, says the Swedish golfer, who lives not very far from Woods in South Florida.

- Golf, which is secondary in this situation, is difficult to guess.

He was in a rehab phase after his fifth back operation, so we can only hope and wish him luck on the way back to being able to compete again, says Stenson.
