It is two weeks since Armand Duplantis competed.

But on Wednesday, it was time for a comeback when he competed in the World Indoor Tour in Serbia.

However, it did not start quite as he had imagined when he tore in the first jump at 5.60.

But then it looked like it used to for the Swede.

He jumped over 5.80 by a large margin, and it was also the height that the last other competitors disappeared at.

- He skips playing easily, said expert commentator Jonas Hedman.

Passed 6.10 immediately

But the Swede was not finished there.

He managed six meters with the smallest margin but at 6.10 there was no talk.

Duplantis made a giant leap and managed in the first attempt, which is now the new world year best.

- He's not even on the crossbar.

The involuntary rest may even have done him good where he could train and recharge in peace and quiet.

It was a real message of strength, says Hedman.

Interrupted at the world record high

After that, Duplantis set the bar at the world record height of 6.19 where he would only make a real jump.

In the second attempt he interrupted on the way up and Duplantis then interrupted the competition and did not complete his third jump.

The next competition for Duplantis will be the European Indoor Championships in Poland next weekend.
