Professional boxing Tom Schwarz, who became famous for his fight against Tyson Fury, has to answer in court.

As a spokesman for the Stendal regional court confirmed to the German press agency on Tuesday, the public prosecutor's office accused Schwarz of dangerous bodily harm.

The case will be heard in Burg on April 13th.

First the "Magdeburger Volksstimme" reported.

Schwarz did not respond to media inquiries about the ongoing proceedings.

His boxing stable SES has suspended the 26-year-old.

"As long as there is no judgment, we will not comment on it," said SES spokesman Christof Hawerkamp.

According to the public prosecutor, Schwarz is said to have broken the lower jaw of his girlfriend at the time with a punch in a fist.

According to the court spokesman, dangerous bodily harm could result in imprisonment of at least six months and a maximum of ten years.
