Just weeks after Göteborgs FC won a historic Swedish Championship gold, the news hit like a bomb in Swedish football - Göteborgs FC was to be shut down.

Then there were also only weeks left until the pre-season training 2021.

Did you think you would apply to other teams?

- It was tough there for a few days when we did not really know anything.

But then we were told that we would have a team but not how it would go, so right now it's great that it's ready.

It feels safe and good with Häcken, I think, says goalkeeper Jennifer Falk, who still felt worried about where her career would go.

- It was a stress right away because it was very late in the year, it was almost 2021 so it is clear that those thoughts came immediately.

It was 48 hours of chaos in my head, then I could calm down again, says Falk, who has played for Gothenburg FC since 2016.

"He's quite secretive"

Peter Bronsman, club chairman for Göteborgs FC, has been one of the front figures in the closure of the club.

Bronsman himself believes that this was the best for women's football, at the same time as information has come that he himself may be relevant for a club in England and that he is looking for a Champions League title.

Do you think you got an answer from Bronsman?

- So I do not think anyone knows what his thoughts were, he is very secretive, says Falk and continues.

- When everything became clear that we would become BK Häcken, I felt that I was not interested in why everything happened, I just wanted to focus on the future, says Falk who has both his brother and sister-in-law who work in the club.
