Slovenian Tadi Bogacher gifted the UAE team the lead of the Emirates Tour of Cycling, after the end of the second stage, yesterday, on Al Hudayriat Island in Abu Dhabi, with an anti-clock speed race for a distance of 13 km.

Bogacher, the Tour de France champion last year, and one of the most prominent candidates to compete for the title of the general tournament ranking with a time of 4.00.05 hours, despite his fourth place in the second stage, to snatch the Emirates team rider the red shirt assigned to the tournament leader, five seconds away from cyclist Portuguese Quick Step team, Joao Almeida, who came second in the overall standings, and sixth after the end of the second stage.
