During the cup match between Östersund and Landskrona, Östersund's Isak Ssewankambo is said to have been subjected to racist chants.

The incident is still being investigated, but the Football Association condemns the incident.

- That players are exposed to racism is nothing but completely deplorable and it does not belong in football, sports or anywhere else in our society.

We must continue to work against racism in every way, says SvFF's general secretary Håkan Sjöstrand to SVT Sport.

The matter to the disciplinary committee

ÖFK said on Monday that they will make a report to the football association.

Håkan Sjöstrand tells how the work is progressing now.

- When a situation like this arises, it is first the match delegate and referees who submit their reports.

Then this will be handled by our disciplinary body, the disciplinary committee, where the associations are also given the opportunity to comment.

It then has to decide in what way it can be covered by football's regulations.

Or as we now see that this happened outside the football arena.

But this investigation must then bring it forward and guide us forward.

"Every incident is one too many"

Football has for a long time had a job to counter racism, something that Sjöstrand highlights.

But at the same time, football has work to do as long as there are situations like the one between Östersund and Landskrona.

- We must remember that the football movement has done a lot to counter racism in football.

Then there are individuals who express themselves in different ways still.

And as long as it occurs, we must do even more, of course, to counteract it.

Of course, part of it is to take a stand and show what we stand for.

Here, the football movement is completely united, each incident is one too many.
