It continues to fall in Marcoussis.

PCR tests carried out on Sunday when the players of the XV of France returned revealed five new positive cases for Covid-19, announced the French Federation on Monday morning.

They are Captain Charles Ollivon, Cyril Baille, Peato Mauvaka, Romain Taofifenua and Brice Dulin.

This brings to nine the number of cases in the initial group called for the match of the 3rd day of the VI Nations Tournament against Scotland, next Sunday.

Including the staff, that makes thirteen.

And it's not over.

“Two members of the management are considered suspicious cases, adds the FFR in its press release.

With a view to isolation, the return home of the players and members of the management concerned is underway.

Five new players have therefore been called in to help prepare Scotland: Gaëtan Barlot, Thierry Paiva, Cyril Cazeaux, Baptiste Pesenti and Thomas Ramos.

"The return to collective training is set for Wednesday February 24, subject to the results of tests carried out every 24 hours," said the FFR.

However, the outcome of the match against Scotland is increasingly uncertain.

A meeting of the Six Nations organizing committee is scheduled for Monday, to discuss the worrying health situation within the France group.
