World number 1 Novak Djokovic won his record-breaking 9th Australian Open and 18th Grand Slam title, beating Russian Daniil Medvedev (4th) in straight sets (7-5, 6-2, 6-2 ), all in less than two hours, Sunday February 21, in Melbourne.

At 33, the Serbian enters a little more into the tennis legend and thus returns to two lengths of the record for Grand Slam trophies co-held by Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal.

The physical bet of Novak Djokovic, who had seemed on the verge of abandonment in the third round, touched the abdominals, is perfectly taken up.

Daniil Medvedev lost his second major final after the 2019 US Open and saw his streak of twenty consecutive victories abruptly interrupted.
