Abs painful or not, Novak Djokovic is the boss of the Australian Open.

The number 1 won the tournament for the ninth time in his career, a record, outclassing Daniil Medvedev this Sunday in the final.

The Russian, defeated in three small sets (7-5, 6-2, 6-2) and less than two hours of play, was no match.

Thanks to this 18th Grand Slam success, Novak Djokovic returns to two lengths of the record co-held by Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal.

The physical bet of the Serbian, who had seemed on the verge of abandonment in the third round, affected the abdominals, is perfectly raised.

Medvedev lost his second major final after the 2019 US Open and saw his streak of twenty consecutive victories abruptly interrupted.
