The team in Scandinavium came into play with different form curves in the luggage.

Series-leading Rögle had won his last three matches.

Roger Rönnberg, coach in Frölunda, chose to relocate in all four chains before Saturday's match.

It was not a success.

Frölunda has been the reigning champion since 2019, but now looks like a mediocre SHL team - at most.

The attacking game is crazy too loose, and self-confidence is lacking.

Weak powerplay

The first period offered dedicated hockey, but not many hot chances and no goals.

Éric Gélinas in Rögle was sent off for 2 + 2 minutes for a high club in the face of Jan Mursak.

But Frölunda's powerplay has been weak lately, and now they barely created anything at all in four minutes.

In the second period, Frölunda started carelessly.

Simon Ryfors made it 1-0 for Rögle after 1.07, when Frölunda gave him time and space in a good shooting position.

Johan Sundström got the puck past Rögle's goalkeeper Christoffer Rifalk in a free position - but the frölundaiten was judged to have disturbed Rifalk in an impermissible way, so there was no goal.

Then Rögle took over.

Simon Ryfors went into the shooting sector and fixed 2-0 at 12.17.

The goal was met by such protests from Frölunda that they were expelled as a team penalty.

A chain that thrives

Then Daniel Zaar, who fit Rögle's first two goals, scored 3-0 in powerplay.

This time the pass came from Ryfors.

- We find each other well in this period, says Simon Ryfors to C More.

- We have played many matches together and have very good chemistry, Ryfors thinks about the chain where he collaborates with Zaar and Dennis Everberg.

Ryfors has scored 22 goals this SHL season and is at the top of the shooting league.

Daniel Zaar is placed high in the points league, with 17 goals and 28 assists.

At the beginning of the third period, Olli Palola increased to 4-0.

There, if not before, the match felt quite decided.
