Also

And next to him,

Óscar Plano

(Madrid, 1991), who never played for the national team, who never reached the

Santiago Bernabéu at home

... But who has achieved a longer career than most of his teammates. Youth Madrid who lifted the Cup and

Real Madrid Castilla

who was promoted to Second Division B in 2012. He arrived first at

Alcorcón

, where he made a name for himself in

Second Division

, and then jumped to

Valladolid

, where he managed to get into the Santander League, take the '10' and be the team's top scorer this season.

He confesses that being a father has changed his life and reflects on the

Covid-19 pandemic

, which forces footballers to stay in a bubble even more closed than usual.

Being a parent, are you afraid of this pandemic? Yes, you are a little afraid.

Being a father has changed my life, the chip.

He is a person who depends on you, that you have to work and push for him, to give him the best life possible.

It drives me crazy.

Also my wife is pregnant and you think about it more.

Luckily, there have been no cases at school and we live in a bubble.

If we meet someone, it's with our soccer teammates, but we haven't seen our friends from Valladolid since the beginning of the pandemic. Your son is three years old, how does he handle a situation like this? In the morning he goes to kindergarten and there they are psyched that it's time to play.

And in the afternoon we take out the dog and little else.

Many times we feel sorry because we cut ourselves when we go to the park and it is full of children.

He wants to play but that's what he has to do, we try to explain it to him and we go when no one is there.

We play a lot. Have there been any cases of contagion in your close circle? I have friends who have lost their father and I have not been able to be there with them.

For the rest, I have been lucky, my father-in-law and my parents are at risk and do not go out. As a footballer and as a citizen, how has the pandemic been experienced? I have to give thanks because I have a large house with a garden and in confinement we were fine , because I have friends and colleagues who spent it in a flat and it was more difficult for them.

It is a tiring situation, that there are no people in the stadiums, the children ask you for photos and it is difficult for you to say no, but the League tells you to keep your distance, everyone with a mask ... You have to abide by the rules. that there are no fans and that football does not stop, have you ever considered not playing? We have never said 'we are not going to play', but we have stated that the fans are the ones that move football.

I am a footballer for that reason, for making people happy, that they see you and that you see them, they give you that incentive. Are you taking advantage of the pandemic to study? I am taking the coaching course because in the future I want to continue linked to football , being with the kids, mentally preparing people in juniors or cadets ... And then I would like to study, but between training and the child it becomes difficult for me. He talks about mentally preparing young people.

How did you live your years in the Madrid quarry? As a child, my parents and my coaches prepared me well mentally.

I have seen many things in Madrid, people beyond their possibilities, who were going to be Messi or Ronaldo, and who are now dedicated to other things outside of football.

When you are a kid who does not fill fields, who do not know you, it is important to have people by your side, not to grow up and not to believe yourself better than anyone. Have you ever stopped to think about the companions you had and where will they be now?

How do you manage everything at that age? When I was little, people who went to the national team passed me by and now have other jobs.

I have never played for the national team but I have worked all my life for this.

I want a good life for my family and I have to demand the maximum of myself.

We have talked about it a lot, 'do you remember that one who was the team's Messi?', And in the end the one they counted on the least, which was me, he arrives, step by step, without striding. .

He lived in Móstoles and had to go to train and combined it with his studies.

Some of my classmates had dropped out of school but my parents forced me to continue and in the end I graduated.

At the age of 12 I went to class and then it took an hour and a half by Renfe to get to the Ciudad Deportiva.

I was taking the subway by myself and my mother was waiting for me at the exit.

They have been the ones who have stopped me when I believed more than I was.

She is a cleaner and he is a mechanic, and I am here for them. What would I have done if I had not been a footballer? When I stopped studying and continued training I looked for a cooking course.

I liked the gastronomic theme and I signed up, but in the end I didn't have time with football and I quit.

I would have been a cook somewhere, although I don't know if people would come to taste the food (laughs).

Now nothing, they cook us in the stadium and everything.
