In the autumn she was ill with covid-19 and when she finally returned she suffered from back problems.

Charlotte Kalla's participation in the WC in Oberstdorf has been in great danger.

She was eventually selected for the championship which starts on February 25, but the goal looks a little different this year.

- It's just trying to make these preparations that remain as good as possible and hope that the best form of the season arrives in Oberstorf.

But I will focus much more on performance than results, says Charlotte Kalla to SVT.

So you do not want to talk about placements?

- No, it feels a little unfair.

But it feels like it's moving forward every day so I'm really looking forward to moving to Germany, she says.

"Making progress"

33-year-old Kalla says that the form feels good at the moment.

- Right now the body feels good.

I really feel like it's moving forward every day.

I have really let my body recover after Falun and not put too much strain on training.

Her great experience, Kalla doing her eighth World Cup this year, has helped her.

- It creates a calm.

I can feel a sense of security in having a training plan I know several times before has meant that the form could have been sharpened to a little extra before the championships.

It is a great security to have with you.
