Serbian Novak Djokovic made short work of surprise guest in the semi-finals, Russian Aslan Karatsev, 114th player in the world and from qualifying.

The world number 1 easily dominated, Thursday, February 18, his opponent (6-3, 6-4, 6-2) and will play his ninth final at the Australian Open on Sunday, where he will aim for a ninth title.

Novak Djokovic will face the winner of the second semi-final, scheduled for Friday, which pits Russian Daniil Medvedev (4th) against Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas (6th).
