Sara Hector and Estelle Alphand did not have a successful day on the giant slalom slope in Cortina.
An icy hill became a tough challenge for Hector who drove out in the second run and for Alphand who was far behind the top placed.
Fifth World Cup medal
In Slovenian Pokljuka, there was a swinging single mixed relay where Hanna Öberg and Sebastian Samuelsson formed the Swedish duo.
In the end, Sweden was able to pinch a bronze medal behind France who sprinted down Norway in the battle for the gold.
This was Sweden's fifth medal in this biathlon world championship.
