The victory over compatriot Andrei Rublev in the quarterfinals of the Australian Open was Medvedev's 19th in a row.
The 25-year-old Russian has not lost since October 2020, winning five matches at the ATP tournament in Paris, five at the Final Tournament, four at the ATP Cup, and five at the Australian Open.
Earlier it was reported that Medvedev defeated Rublev in three sets and reached the semifinals of the Australian Open.
