Raymond van Barneveld returns on the professional tour.

On the last day of the Q-School, the Dutch darts legend made it to the quarter-finals and thus secured his tour card.

Martin Schindler, who had just lost his eligibility to play after last season, made his participation perfect for the next two years.

The 24-year-old Strausberger, who caused a sensation with his victory over van Barneveld on the first day and set a German record on Monday with an average of 123.5, confirmed his form strength on the final day.

Before Schindler, Florian Hempel from Cologne was able to qualify as the winner of the day at the four-day event in Niedernhausen, Hesse on Tuesday.

And with Michael Unterbuchner and Robert Marijanovic, two more Germans made it on the tour on the final day.

The Munich-based Unterbuchner reached the quarter-finals and, like Schindler, qualified through the overall standings.

Marijanovic, who already played on the PDC tour in the past, secured the last tour ticket with the semi-finals.

Bunse leaves, Kurz disappointed again

A total of 646 players started at the two events in Niedernhausen and Milton Keynes in England to win one of the 29 tour tickets.

In addition to the four daily winners, the best of the two separately managed overall rankings qualified.

Schindler finished in second place, Unterbuchner came in sixth, Marijanovic eighth.

In addition to Gabriel Clemens, Max Hopp and Steffen Siepmann, seven Germans will play on the professional tour for the first time this year.

After two years, Christian Bunse, who stopped taking part on the fourth day of the Q-School, will no longer be there.

Nico Kurz will not be a permanent member of the professional tour until 2022 at the earliest.

After three disappointing days, the two-time German World Cup participant only made it to the last 64 players on Wednesday and gave away several match darts at 5-6.
