The Korean Sports Association has finally rejected the approval of the president-elect Choi Cheol-won of the Korea Ice Hockey Association, the perpetrator of the past controversy over the'match-price assault'.

An official of the Korean Sports Association said on the 16th, "Chairman Lee Ki-heung decided to refuse approval as a result of collecting public opinions from domestic sportsmen such as sports directors and ice hockey players."

The official said that he sent his intention to reject the approval of the Korea Sports Association to the Korea Ice Hockey Association on the afternoon of the 16th.

The recent'school violence' of professional volleyball sisters Lee Jae-young and Da-young Da-young seems to have contributed greatly to the rejection of approval by the Korean Sports Association.

Choi Cheol-won, CEO of Might & Main, was elected president of the Ice Hockey Association on December 17 last year, but criticism poured out because of his past history of assault.

Choe-elect hit a truck driver at the time and handed over 20 million won, saying that it was a'measured price,' to earn public offense, and was suspended from the court.
