Within four days, the Swedish skating star took two golds, and in addition Nils van der Poel set a new world record of 10,000 meters.

Today he tells SVT Sport that he feels that what he has done is not only appreciated in his home country.

- When you got to share it with your colleagues and the competitors from the other nations last night, you understood that it is very much appreciated in the skating world that it is a Swede who can break world records.

It is very fun to be a part of it, he says, and tells a little later that he feels a great joy and pride in what he has succeeded in:

- I am very pleased to have made these results, and that they went as far as it did.

It feels absolutely fantastic, really.

"Impressed by Swedish media"

Another thing that pleases the Trollhättan son is the increased interest that has become around the sport of skating in the country.

- I am very impressed by the Swedish media in general, that they have managed to report so well on this.

I read quite wise minutes in the newspapers, and it is fun that the interest and knowledge of skating is increased in Sweden.

Then maybe I do not think it's hilarious to do interviews, but it's part of the job so I do it too, he says with a smile.
