The British "Motorsport" website confirmed that the "Alpine" driver, formerly known as "Renault", and the competitor in the "Formula 1" world championship, Spain's Fernando Alonso, who has won the World Championship on two occasions, will undergo minor surgical work on his teeth, following the accident he suffered. He pointed out that the accident occurred in the Swiss city of Lugano, while he was riding his bicycle, and he called to be transferred to the hospital, to confirm that Alonso did not suffer from any fractures, and that the matter was limited to undergoing surgical work at the dental level, with later undergoing more medical examinations.

It is noteworthy that Alonso, a former winner with the "Renault" team in the 2005 and 2006 World Drivers Championship, was scheduled to return to the first category, "Formula 1", with his new team, "Alpine", since his departure from participation at the end of the 2018 season when he was driving for "McLaren".

And he entered a physical preparation phase that relies in large part on cycling, before going into the winter trials on March 12 in Bahrain, on which all championship teams and drivers focus on testing the effectiveness of their new cars before the season begins at the Bahraini Sakhir Circuit.
