Last night, Swedish time, Mikael Ymer advanced to the Australian Open.

For the first time in ten years, a Swede is ready for the third round of the tournament.

- I am really very happy about it, says Ymer to SVT Sport.

Now tough opposition awaits.

Five-seeded Stefanos Tsitsipas will be on the other side of the field.

But the 22-year-old from Greece had to struggle to get to the third round.

Tsitsipas met home player Thanasi Kokkinakis in the second round.

The 267-ranked took the match to five sets, they played for almost five hours.

"I really enjoyed"

After Tsitsipas served home the fifth set 6-4, he sat down on his knees to celebrate.

- I really enjoyed playing tennis today.

It was a damn match, says Tsitsipas.

He praised his opponent Kokkinakis afterwards.

- He's really a fighter, you saw that today.

He is a great talent.

It's just a matter of taking advantage of it and doing something fantastic with your career.

After the victory against Gilles Simon in the first round, he gave a victory speech - where he received a shout.

This is not the first time he's making headlines.

In August 2019, he had an outburst of rage at the judge at the US Open.

In January 2020, he had an outbreak and hit his dad with his tennis racket.
