The Tokyo Organizing Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games has decided to hold a joint meeting on the afternoon of the 12th to hear opinions from experts on the board of directors and the board of councilors regarding what can be said to be the disdain for women by Chairman Mori.

Mr. Mori, the chairman of the Games Organizing Committee, withdrew his remarks and apologized for saying, "It takes time for the board of directors with many women." it is continuing.

Under these circumstances, the Organizing Committee has decided to hold a joint meeting from 3:00 pm on the 12th to hear opinions from experts on the board of directors and the board of councilors regarding Mr. Mori's remarks.

The board of directors has the authority to decide important matters and select the chairman, and the board of councilors is the superordinate organization, but this meeting will be held as a joint "discussion meeting", so it will not be a place to decide anything. This means that while allowing remote participation, we will seek opinions from experts in various fields regarding this statement and future efforts for gender equality.

The meeting will be organized by Honorary Chairman Fujio Mitarai of the Organizing Committee, and a press conference will be held after the meeting.
