Lindsey Vonn took an incredible 20 podium places in the World Cup, of which 12 wins, in the ski resort Cortina.

And on the championship's website, she writes about life after skiing.

- A lot has happened in my life since I stopped skiing and I still try to figure out what I like to do and not, she writes and continues:

- Sometimes it feels like I have just finished high school and that I have unlimited opportunities to choose from.

And despite all the successes I had on skis, it is now just a nice business card to show.

- It is important to be patient and take small steps forward.

Something that is difficult for someone who has done everything at top speed all his life.

"Great to be a part of the circus"

One of Vonn's new jobs is as an alpine commentator / expert for the American television channel NBC.

- Of course I would have liked to be in place at the World Cup, but it is still great to be a part of the alpine circus for a while.

A part of something that I have never really left and that will never leave me.
