Last Saturday, Johanna Hagström took her best world cup placement in her career, when she finished second in Ulricehamn's sprint race.

Today, with Linn Svahn, Maja Dahlqvist and Jonna Sundling absent, she is the favorite for the Swedish Championship gold.

And in the qualifiers she showed why, when she was over seven and a half seconds faster than the second Anna Dyvik.

"A little in shock"

Although she impressed in the tracks, she had a difficult charge to say the least.

- It was such a heavenly awkward warm-up!

I fell downhill so I got a lot of blows to the neck and knee, so I was a little shocked.

Then when I was going to drive up again I broke the pole, so I was a little annoyed at the warm-up, she says to SVT Sport.

But you did not hurt yourself?

- No.

It was only a small shock for five minutes afterwards, but then it went very well.

Troublesome even in Ulricehamn

A difficult start to the day, however, seems to be a good omen for Hagström.

Before the World Cup sprint in Ulricehamn last weekend, where she thus finished second, she woke up in a panic in the morning when she realized that she had forgotten to register for the Swedish Championships, which she managed to do anyway - despite the registration deadline.

The men's qualifier was won by Anton Persson, who was hesitant to start before the competition.

- I was very unsure to start today, but it seems to work properly.

- I do not think I need to go into it maybe, but just a little worry.

You have not felt completely 100?

- No, exactly.
