The famous "Dakar" rally in its 43rd edition, which was unveiled last month, with the fruitful participation of the country's drivers, who competed in the cars, light vehicles and trucks categories, in the most famous and toughest rally in the world, after it spanned in the 2021 edition for a distance of more than 7,600 kilometers, which was held on 12 stages, in the desert tracks and mountain paths of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The country's drivers, Sheikh Khalid Al Qasimi, captain of the Abu Dhabi Racing Team, advanced in a participation during which Al Qasimi succeeded on board his Peugeot 3008 DKR in finishing the rally in seventh place in the overall standings, in a category that also witnessed a fruitful participation in a historic debut in "Dakar" for the Emirati driver, Khaled Al-Jaflah, who since last year has set up the "Jaffa Racing" team at a cost of 3 million dirhams, with the aim of participating in this year's edition.

With the slogan of the first appearance as well, the Emirati youth Mansour Al-Hali (28 years) performed remarkably in the "light vehicles" category, armed with the support of his "Abu Dhabi Racing" team, and the experiences of his father, Yahya Belhli, who is considered the dean of the country's drivers, and the most visible in the World Championships of Desert Rally. "Cross Country", especially as Yahya is preparing for his 30th appearance in the "Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge" within the World Championship rounds.

The fruitful Emirati participation in the "Dakar" 2021 was not limited to drivers only, but also recorded the success of the navigator Khalid Al-Kindi with his team "Lopress" in finishing the rally in fifth place in the overall standings in the truck category.
