Parts of the Swedish biathlon national team are now in place in Pokljuka and preparing for the World Cup.

SVT's reporter Peter Jonsson was present at today's training.

There were only two ladies who trained: Linn Persson and Hanna Öberg.

Something that strongly indicates that they are the two who take the two women's places in the initial mixed relay.

Linn Persson has so far been strong in relays at the same time as, for example, Elvira Öberg had a heavier competition in the latest relay in Antholz where she shot two penalty rounds.

On the men's side, it is more or less obvious in advance that Sebastian Samuelsson and Martin Ponsiluoma will take the seats if they are both healthy.

- It's a good lineup.

That it is almost a bit difficult to take out teams indicates a strength in itself.

If the ski form is there, Sweden has a good chance, says SVT Sport's expert Björn Ferry.

A new approach can benefit Sweden

The relay will have a new layout this championship.

The ladies will run the first two distances and the men the last two.

Previously, the gentlemen have finished.

According to SVT Sport's expert Björn Ferry, it is therefore a little more difficult to guess which of Samuelsson and Ponsiluoma will take the starting distance.

- We have never had this arrangement so it is a bit difficult.

But I would probably put Samuelsson first, says Ferry.

The new approach can be positive for Sweden according to Ferry.

- It will be a little twist and I think that speaks a little more for Sweden.

I would rather have Hanna Öberg on the last stretch than Sebastian Samuelsson who will go against Johannes Thingnes Bö.
