The Jordan national team faces the Russian team Zenit in Dubai

The Jordan national football team will play a friendly match against Zenit Saint Petersburg, Russia, tomorrow, Tuesday, at Al Shabab Club stadium in Dubai.


The match is part of the Jordanian team’s preparations to complete its career in the double Asian qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup and the 2023 AFC Asian Cup Finals.


The Jordan team, led by Belgian coach Vital Borkelmans, started its camp in Dubai with a friendly match against Dynamo Kiev, the Ukrainian league leaders, which ended in a goalless draw, before To face Tajikistan twice, winning 2-0 in the first, and losing 1-0 in the second.


The Jordan national team will conclude its training camp in Dubai by playing a final friendly match against Uzbekistan on February 15th, before returning to Amman the next day.


The director of the Jordan national team, Osama Talal, confirmed in a statement to the official website of the Jordan Football Association that “despite the establishment of the Nashama camp outside the days of FIFA, the Jordanian Federation succeeded in securing five friendly matches for the national team, which enhances the level of preparation and readiness, according to the aspirations of the technical staff, before Completion of the joint qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, and the 2023 Asian Finals in China.


He added that the Zenit team, which held a series of friendly matches in Dubai during the last period, is preparing to end its camp in the UAE by meeting the arrogant and then the Uzbek national team, in the presence of all its stars, in preparation for the return stage of the Russian League.


Jordan is preparing to face its Kuwaiti counterpart at the end of next March in the second group of qualifiers, before their matches against Nepal and Australia next June.


Jordan is ranked second in its group, equal to Kuwait, with the same score (10 points), two points behind leaders Australia, while Nepal ranks fourth (3), and Taiwan is last without any point.
