The magical autumn days in Paris made Swiatek break through and go from hidden to star and she had to leave Poland to be able to train in peace.

In a pre-tournament in Melbourne last week, Swiatek lost their second match against the 33-ranked Russian Jekaterina Alexandrova in her return on the WTA tour.

Last night, the 19-year-old showed the determination that took her to the top of the French Open.

- I felt much better than during my first tournament here and had better self-confidence.

I had some doubts after the match against Alexandrova but now it went much better, says Swiatek at the Youtube broadcast press conference.

Listened to Marvin Gaye

Swiatek, who is interested in music, had Marvin Gaye's "It takes two" in his headphones last night and used a trick to move on.

- I reset myself and restarted again.

I always want to dominate on the track and it worked out well so I'm happy.

Although Swiatek is still a teenager, she has noticed that Grand Slam tournaments give her extra motivation.

- I always play better in Grand Slam tournaments.

I do not know if it is due to the preparations or if it is just the right time for me.

My goal is to be stable and I want to play well in all tournaments.

I try to see every match in the same way, even if it works better at the Grand Slams, she says.
