After the big breakthrough against world star Tyson Fury in September 2019, Sundsvallssonen has only played one match.

It was in August this summer when he defeated Travis Kauffman via technical knockout in round five.

Now it's time to step up in the ring again, and this time tougher opposition awaits.

The American Dominic Breazeale has admittedly not played a match in almost two years, but he has an impressive result of 20-2 (18 KO).

By comparison, Wallin himself has 21-1 (14 KO).

Only losses two title matches

- I'm really eager to go to the match again.

Breazeale is a tough and good opponent who has only lost to Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder, who were both world champions when he met them.

But we have a good game plan so I feel well prepared, says Otto Wallin to SVT Sport.

What do you think we will see for the type of match?

- It is important that I take control and not let him get started and gain self-confidence.

Then he shuts me in against the ropes or in the corner of the ring and strikes his hard blows which he is quite good at.

But I think he is slower than me so I need to use my footwork and my fast hands.

I have to be smart in there, says Wallin.

Otto Wallin on the opponent's tribute: Fun to get the cred you deserve

Has sparred with top names

In the recharging before the northerner's latest match, he was disturbed partly by a foot injury, and partly he had suffered from covid-19 in March.

This time it has gone more planned.

- I am in really good shape and have been able to train very well after my last match in August.

It's been great.

I have received very good sparring with, among others, Adam Kownacki from Poland and Zhang Zhilei from China who are two top guys in heavyweight in the world.

It's the luxury of living here in New York, there are many heavyweights with different styles and it has been good for my development.
