Jonas Jerebko is currently without a club after a messy break-up with the Russian club Khimki.

He will take the opportunity to play with the national team for the first time in eight years when the national team meets Turkey and the Netherlands in the European Championship qualifiers later in February.

- Right now it is the national team I am thinking of.

I will give 100 percent every day until the matches.

"I was in the NBA"

In the first place, 33-year-old Jerebko aims to find a new club until the season starts again this autumn, but there is a possible exception.

- If something comes up in the NBA after April, when my son comes, I will do it.

Otherwise, all doors are closed, he says and continues:

- Next season we will see.

Either I go over to the USA or I miss out on a top team in the EuroLeague.

Those are the only options I see.

In the way I have been playing lately, there should be no problems.

I know I was in the NBA.

Many big teams interested

What did the interest look like when you became clubless now?

- Bayern Munich wanted to do something, it was Spain and there were many big teams that wanted to do something.

But I was not interested in leaving the family again.

I know those offers will come again.

If it is to be the NBA in the future, it must be the right club for the Swede.

- I will not enter into a training camp contract, then I would rather miss in Europe.

I will have a place in the team where I know what I can do.

We'll see.

I've played 10 years in the NBA, so I did.

I will not miss the Memphis Grizzlies where I have no chance of winning a title.

If I do, I will do it to win, says Jerebko, who in 2019 was a final loss from winning the NBA with the Golden State Warriors.
