Four minutes into the overtime period, after 5-5 at full-time between Florida and Nashville, confusion arose.

Filip Forsberg jumped over the edge to go into play, but the changing Nashville player took too long, so it looked like Nashville would go on a dangerous expulsion.

But the referee blew the whistle, and Forsberg, who had just entered the ice, took the opportunity to break a sloppy Florida pass and got a free kick against Sergei Bobrovsky in the Florida goal.

Lost despite hat trick

Possibly it was an unexpected end to a game in which Florida was mostly in the lead, and striker Jonathan Huberdeau probably thought he would become the match hero with the NHL career 'first hat trick, and two assists.

- We have to be a little better defensively, he says at the press conference after the match.

But Nashville never stopped hunting.

And the driving force in that hunt was Filip Forsberg.

He scored the 1-1 goal, played until Calle Järnkroks 2-2 and Matt Duchenes 3-3, and was noted with Mattias Ekholm for an assist in Roman Josis 4-5 reduction.

- Of course we needed to fight back in third, and we did, says Forsberg.

Duchene then made sure with a powerplay goal in the last minute of the match that the match went to extra time.

"Has a high level"

This is the first time in his NHL career that Filip Forsberg has accounted for five points.

- In this league, all players are good players and there are others who have a different level of talent.

"File" has a high level, says coach John Hynes after the match.

It was also goal-oriented in the Canadian meeting between Toronto and Vancouver.

7-3 ended the match, where Toronto's William Nylander accounted for three assists.

This is the third match in a row that the Swede has scored points.

Elias Pettersson and Nils Höglander each received assist points for Vancouver.

Toronto's Jason Spezza scored his first hat-trick in almost five years.

Both teams' coaches highlighted after the game that Toronto was rested - while Vancouver had a tough game schedule - which may have been decisive.

- I honestly thought we looked like a tired team playing against a fast, skilled team, says Vancouver's coach Travis Green after the match.
