The age limit for those who are allowed to exercise has already been set for children born in 2005 and later.

Now the assessment has been made that even older young people should be allowed to participate in training activities.

- The overall assessment is that the positive effects of opening up to upper secondary school students outweigh the risks, says the Swedish Public Health Agency's Director General Johan Carlson.

The elite athletes, ie those who have sports as a profession, can already train and in many cases compete.
