"We regret the violence"

About 300 to 400 supporters had gathered to show their anger against Jacques-Henri Eyraud, the president of the club.

Some entered the training center and committed degradations there.

In a statement shared by the six groups of supporters, they condemned the violence.

“We regret the violence, especially as our action would have been stronger without it.

We wanted to show disappointment and bitterness, but those two feelings gave way to anger for some, ”they wrote, while reiterating their wish to see JHE leave the club.

Eight supporters were remanded in custody on Monday pending their trial scheduled for February 24.
