Chinanews client, Beijing, February 4 (Reporter Yue Chuan) On February 4, the Beijing Winter Olympics ushered in the first anniversary of the countdown, and the preparations of Chinese ice and snow athletes are entering the final "sprint" stage.

At this important node, the continuous good results have given the Chinese Army a good start in its "sprint" journey.

Three years have passed since the preparations for the Beijing Winter Olympics.

In this Winter Olympics cycle, "expanding, fixing, optimizing, and sprinting" is the strategy of the Chinese Legion to prepare for war.

At the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics, Chinese ice and snow athletes participated in 53 small events, accounting for about half of the total number of events set up. This is the largest number of events in the history of the Chinese delegation.

However, there is a huge gap between the two in the Beijing Winter Olympics.

How big the gap is, it means how big the challenge is.

According to the rules of the competition, the Beijing Winter Olympics will have 7 major events including biathlon, snowmobile, curling, ice hockey, sledding, skating and skiing, including a total of 109 minor events. "White paper" has never been carried out before.

After two years of "expansion" and "fixed points" efforts, the national teams and training teams for these 109 small events have all been set up. Many projects "started from scratch" have realized the historical leap of "from scratch". The phased goal of launching and building the whole project team was achieved.

After "expanding" and "fixing points," last year was the year of "good soldiers" in the preparation strategy.

However, affected by the epidemic, most of the international competitions in the past two snow seasons have been postponed or cancelled, which has impacted the normal preparations of the Chinese Army.

In the absence of training in large-scale competitions, various national teams have taken a series of measures such as strengthening physical training and organizing team competitions to reduce the impact of the epidemic on preparations.

Only in this month of 2021, the domestic figure skating national training team team competition, the national short-track speed skating championship, the national cross-country skiing championship, the national speed skating communication test competition and other ice and snow events have been successfully held in China. The cross-country ski championship is underway.

This series of events focuses on the Beijing Winter Olympics, aiming to create competition opportunities for athletes, feel the atmosphere of the competition, and timely test the results of Olympic preparations and training.

After about a year of screening, the current total number of athletes preparing for the competition has been reduced from more than 1,100 at the end of 2019 to more than 500, and the team is still losing weight.

As the countdown to the first anniversary of the Beijing Winter Olympics, the Chinese Legion’s preparations are moving to the final "sprint" stage with the goal of realizing all competitions.

As the leader of Chinese winter sports, the short track speed skating team has always been the focus of the spotlight.

So far, the Chinese delegation has won 13 gold medals since participating in the Winter Olympics, including 10 short-track speed skating contributions.

In the past year, the Chinese short-track speed skating team conducted a long closed training camp.

The team’s most recent task is in April this year, when the national team will also be reorganized.

Ren Ziwei, the world champion, said that only by constantly making up for shortcomings and strengthening physical fitness can the goal be achieved in the Olympic arena.

Not only the short track speed skating team, the closed training camp is actually the same keyword for all national teams in 2020.

Since the cancellation of the World Championships in March last year, the Chinese figure skating team has switched to closed training.

After the 2020 China Cup World Figure Skating Grand Prix, the team went to Tengchong, Yunnan for special plateau training.

Head coach Zhao Hongbo said that despite the impact of the epidemic, preparations for the Winter Olympics are generally in order.

The national freestyle skiing aerials team is currently preparing for the battle in Chongli. This trump card with many world-class players such as Qi Guangpu, Jia Zongyang, Xu Mengtao, etc., is also the leader of the Chinese delegation in the competition for gold and silver in the Beijing Winter Olympics.

According to incomplete statistics, the current Chinese national ice and snow teams are located in Beijing, Yanqing, Zhangjiakou, Inner Mongolia, Jilin and other places for training.

With the joint efforts of all parties and the assistance of cutting-edge technology, the adverse impact of the epidemic on preparations for the Winter Olympics has been greatly reduced.

All national teams are fighting hard and doing their best for the same goal.

Gu Ailing World Extreme Games won the championship and set history

After entering 2021, the preparations of the Chinese Army continue to have good news.

At the X Games Aspen Station of the World Extreme Games, Gu Ailing, who participated for the first time, won two championships, including the freestyle skiing super U-shaped field and the freestyle ski slope obstacle.

This year's competition has gathered good players and the results are extremely high.

This is also the first time a Chinese athlete has won a gold medal in the World Extreme Games. The 17-year-old "Frog Princess" once again rewrites the history of Chinese ice and snow sports.

In the National Short Track Speed Skating Championships, the 18-year-old Zhu Yiyue broke the men’s 1,500-meter national record and brought surprises to the long-silent ice rink; the 16-year-old snowboarder Su Yiming, the training station in Changbai Mountain, completed the first in Chinese snowboard history A reverse foot turned 1800 degrees for five weeks (cab 1800), and the difficulty of the action ranks among the top in the world; Laiyuan ski jumping training ground, many athletes completed the first jump of the HS140 platform (independently designed and constructed in China), Song Qiwu became the first to jump 140 Chinese athletes of meters...

At the time of the first anniversary of the Beijing Winter Olympics, the continuous good news has given the Chinese Legion a good start to its "sprint" preparations.

After four years of waiting and dedication, after 365 days, I look forward to blooming and bearing fruit; I also hope that every diligence and sweat will reap the best return.
