The home of the coach of Olympic Nîmes, Jérôme Arpinon, was burglarized on the night of Wednesday to Thursday a few hours after the defeat of his team against Paris Saint-Germain, we learned Thursday from a judicial source.

The facts unfolded while he and his players were still in the capital.

An investigation of flagrance for theft with a weapon has been opened, said the Deputy Prosecutor of the Republic Patrick Bottero.

According to sources close to the investigation, the coach's 18-year-old son was at home and was allegedly threatened with a knife by a burglar.

The latter would have gone through the roof around 6.30am and would have managed to escape with valuables.

The damage is currently being assessed.

The investigation was entrusted to the anti-burglary group of the departmental security.
