Thanks for stopping by guys, we'll see you next year.

France, beaten by Italy, 2 wins to 1, in group C of the ATP Cup on Wednesday in Melbourne, is already eliminated from the semi-final race even before its last group match against the 'Austria.

Fabio Fognini put Italy in the lead by beating Benoît Paire sharply in straight sets, 6-1, 7-6 (7/2).

Berrettini (10th in the world), then largely dominated 6-4, 6-2 Gaël Monfils (11th), who had nevertheless started the game well by making a break early enough in the first round.

Hit in the right shoulder in the second set, the French had to call on the physiotherapist.

Italy in half

Nicolas Mahut and Edouard Roger-Vasselin saved the honor for France by dominating the double transalpine composed of Simone Bolelli and Andrea Vavassori 6-3, 6-4.

Italy, thanks to this victory and that on Tuesday against Austria, is the first nation to qualify for the semi-finals of the event.
