Leksand-born Victor Rask was behind Minnesota's equalizer 3-3 against Colorado at the end of the third period.

It took the match to extra time, where Jonas Brodin before the clock had even had time to pass 20 seconds got in Minnesota's winning puck after a pass by Joel Eriksson Ek via Jordan Greenway.

Eriksson Ek was noted for another assist, as was Colorado's Gabriel Landeskog.

"Tonight they just went in for me"

Philadelphia's Joel Farabee scored the first hat-trick of his NHL career when the New York Islanders were defeated 4-3 at home.

- Tonight they (the pucks) just went in for me.

My game feels really good right now and hopefully it will continue like that, he says according to the team's Twitter account.

20-year-old Farabee started the scoring at the end of the first period, led by James van Riemsdyk.

After an early equalizer in second by Islanders' Nick Leddy, Farabee scored two more pucks, played by van Riemsdyk both times, before it was time for the next period break.

The third period thus began with the score 3-1 to Philadelphia, but the Islanders caught up with Josh Bailey and Mathew Barzal, and took the match to extra time, where the home team's Kevin Hayes got the decisive puck.

Anaheim's Jakob Silfverberg scored the team's only goal, after a pass from Hampus Lindholm, when St Louis visited and drove over the California team with 4-1.
