The stage of the Slopestyle Skiing World Cup, scheduled for Font-Romeu (Pyrénées-Orientales) from March 19 to 21, is canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic, announced the International Ski Federation (FIS).

“The winter sports resorts remaining closed in France for the rest of the 2020/2021 season, it was not possible for the organizers of Font-Romeu to obtain a significant budgetary extension, as well as the various authorizations for host the event this season, ”FIS wrote in a statement.

The Slopestyle World Cup has so far been reduced to a single stage in Stubai (Austria) in mid-November, and only one other competition remains on the calendar for the moment, in Silvaplana (Switzerland), from March 25 to 27.
