It was only a year in AIK for the Brommapojkarna-educated striker Paulos Abraham.

After four goals last season, it is now clear that he will move to Groningen in the Netherlands.

Abraham will be loaned out from AIK until June, and will then be sold.

His contract with Groningen is valid until the summer of 2026.

- I feel ready to take the next step when I now sign for FC Groningen and it is with excitement that I look forward to where it will take me, says Paulos Abraham on AIK's website.

"Short stay in AIK"

AIK seems to be happy with the sale.

- We can state that it was a short stay in AIK, which of course is proof that AIK is a good springboard into Europe.

Paulos has since day one been clear in his ambition for his next step and has worked hard to get there.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank players and leaders around Paulos who have been involved and contributed to him getting this opportunity today - and AIK in the end a significant income in tough times, says AIK's sports director Henrik Jurelius on the club's website.

AIK does not write the exact transfer fee, but announces that the sale of Abraham ends up in "class IV", which means that they earn between SEK 10 and 20 million net on the sale.
