Swiss Mirco Müller was drafted as the 18th player in total in 2013, but failed to deliver at the NHL level.

In total, there were 185 games and 28 points for the 25-year-old, who, however, played 103 games in the last two seasons with the New Jersey Devils.

But he did not get a contract in the NHL this season, and now he is turning to Sweden and Leksand instead.

- I look forward to coming to Leksand.

I have heard very well about the club and am really looking forward to playing matches again, he says to the club's website.

Playing matches again will probably be unusual for Müller, who has not played since last season, came to an abrupt end due to the corona pandemic in March.

But Leksand's GM Thomas Johansson still believes that Müller will be able to contribute.

- Mirco Müller is a skating strong player who moves well on the ice.

He handles the puck carefully and has a good size, and he will be useful to us, he says.

HV71 also amplifies - three times over

Leksand is not the only team that strengthens.

During the day, HV71 completed three (!) New acquisitions.

The club first presented the Finnish national team center Miska Siikonen from JYP Jyväskylä in the Swedish Championship.

A few hours later, it was the Canadian hill Jordan Murray who was introduced, who comes from Dinamo Riga in the KHL.

And finally, the Finnish center Arttu Ilomäki from Luleå.
