The Manchester United striker is subjected to racist insults and refuses to reciprocate

Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford confirmed that he was subjected to racist insults on social media on Saturday evening.

Rashford, 22, was subjected to multiple racist insults on the "Instagram" network to exchange photos after his team, Manchester United, tied negatively with Arsenal on Saturday.

Rashford was recently honored for his efforts to combat child food poverty, but he was not immune to racist insults.

"I am a black man, and I take pride in that every day," Rashford wrote on his Twitter account.

"Nobody or a comment can change my feelings, so I'm sorry if you are looking for a strong reaction, you will not get what you want," he added.

"I don't repost the posts, it would be inappropriate for me to do that," he noted.

He concluded by saying, "I have very beautiful children of all colors who follow me and they do not need to read it. Beautiful colors should only be celebrated."
